Ingrid trains a variety of Conflict Dynamics courses, particularly those with a labour and employment law dimension. She was trained in the Training for Learning methodology in 1991 and since then has trained managers (including supervisors and team leaders), shop stewards, and union officials in the private and public sectors as well as CCMA and Bargaining Council officials in all aspects of labour law and labour dispute resolution.
Ingrid has a Bachelor of Arts (Wits) and a Bachelor of Law (LLB). She is an admitted attorney specialising in human rights and labour law. She has been involved in industrial dispute resolution and prevention, at the most advanced level (acting judge in the Labour Court and senior convening commissioner of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration (CCMA) (Gauteng province).
Through her experience as an independent senior mediator, arbitrator, and trainer at the CCMA and as a dispute resolution panellist in both private and public sector bargaining councils, she has trained in arbitration, mediation, conciliation, facilitation, conflict resolution, collective bargaining, and negotiation skills at all levels.
Ingrid is an author and updating author of LexisNexis Practical Guidance: Labour (Private Sector) and Labour (Public Sector) Practice Areas (2013 to present) and LexisNexis Butterworths Employment Forms and Precedents (2019 to present). She has also authored: Resolving Workplace Disputes - A Guide for NUM Shop Stewards (LexisNexis 2016).
